Dear Lions family,

Bond funding provided some exciting improvements at McKinley Elementary School, which were completed over the summer!

Thanks to voters around the district who approved the 2018 bond, more than $2 million was invested in improvements at McKinley. The upgrades we received over the summer helped to increase safety and security, support music programs and more.

Improvements at McKinley
McKinley received music room improvements, such as heating/ventilation system upgrades and new shelving, library improvements, including new bookshelves, improvements to the circulation area and new lighting, seismic strengthening, intercom system upgrades and electronic badge access system upgrades. The front office also received improvements to help office staff monitor and control the front entrance.

Information about other schools that received or will receive improvements in the 2018 bond program can be found at salkeiz.k12.or.us/projects-status.

We truly benefit from the bond-funded improvements provided here at McKinley. Thank you so much for supporting our students, and thank you, voters!

Sincerely,
Principal Michelle Nelson
